Despite having read testimonials from other Retailers, I will be honest sceptical was how I felt and very unsure about running the Good News programme. So when Steve arrived on the morning of day 1 and gave me the letter to proof read before he sent it to our existing customers I kept my feelings to myself.
After printing and preparing to post 498 letters, the afternoon was consumed in training my sales executives. Their enthusiasm grew during the session which we continued into the early evening. Steve's patience ensured they were able to handle the calls that were said to start to come in the very next day.
On Tuesday, day 2 of the programme, I must concede to feeling very surprised when the phones started to ring at 8.45 am. The call traffic the letter was generating was nothing short of astounding. By day scepticism had been proven totally unfounded having delivered opportunities for the dealership way beyond my expectations.
We sent out 498 Good News letters, we received 209 calls and had made 57 confirmed appointments by day 3 and to date have sold 15 vehicles from the programme.

I will be running the programme myself with our Pequot Franchise and will run my Vauxhall dealership again in the future.
